Green Pod Celebration

I was so impressed to see the Green Pod Celebration this Friday!  They are recognizing excellence in the first grade Green Pod every week by passing out certificates to children who have followed all the directions, have worked hard, and those that have been good helpers.  This weeks celebration was a huge success.  Those that were recognized were very proud and the other boys and girls were happy for their "green pod family members"!  Way to go GREEN POD!!  Mrs. Goodin is soooo proud!  Love you!!

A friendly reminder!

Our school times had to change this year due to many bus changes!  We have been taking children in before 7:30 AM this week due to our teachers willingness to come in to work 40 minutes early every day this week.  They know how hectic the car and bus traffic can be on the first week of school and they were willing to come in early to help alleviate some of that for our parents.  Starting Monday, August 16th we cannot accept any children before 7:30 AM.  We don't have any staff on campus to supervise children before 7:30 AM. Please remember this as you are transporting your children to school this year.  Drop off begins at 7:30 AM and children are counted tardy at 8:00 AM...these times will be enforced starting August 16th!  Thanks for your cooperation!

Gearing up for 2010-2011 school year!

We are registering children Monday-Thursday from 9-12!  Please come by the school to register your child for next year.  Our office will be closed Monday, June 5th in observance of the July 4th holiday!

If you call the school and do not get an answer please understand that I work most of the summer by myself.  I do not have a secretary.  I am registering children, giving tours, helping teachers, interviewing for open positions and anything else that needs to be done.  This leaves little time to answer the phone.  Please come and register Monday-Thursday 9-12...even if you don't reach someone on the phone.  You can always email me at susanne.goodin@elmoreco.com if you have questions that need to be answered.  Thanks for your patience!

You need to bring with you to registration: birth certificate, social security card, Alabama immunization card, and two proofs of residence.  We also like to complete a short screener on all incoming Kindergarten students.  Please bring your child with you to register.  Thanks!

Open House will be:
First grade - August 5th at 5:00 PM
Second grade - August 5th at 6:00 PM
Kindergarten - August 8th at 2:00 PM
