Clayton gets a special ride to school!

Here is Clayton with Andi Scott from WLWI! We are so proud of him for winning the I-92 free ride for straight A's. They picked Clayton up on Friday morning and brought him to school to reward him for his hard work. We are all so proud of Clayton and how hard he has been working at school! Great Job Buddy!

CONGRATULATIONS to Mrs. Whitlock!! She won the Golden Apple Award from CBS 8! We are so proud of her :)

100th day of School

Mrs. Reeder's class dressed up to celebrate the 100th day of school! We had little old ladies and men all over our school on Wednesday as the children and some teachers dressed as if they were 100 years old. The students spent all day exploring just how many 100 is. It is always a fun day for everyone at Coosada!

Mr. Jackson is recognized!!

Mr. Jackson was recognized on Saturday, January 17th as the Alabama Education Associations Assistant Principal of the Year. Mrs. Thomas and Mrs. Britt were in attendance with Mr. Jackson at an AEA conference when they surprised him with the good news. We are so thankful to have Mr. Jackson as a part of our administrative team, and we are thrilled that he was recognized for his hard work. Thank you Mr. Jackson and Congratulations from everyone at Coosada Elementary School!

2009-2010 Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten Registration will open on April 1st at 9:00 AM. We will register until 6:00 PM on April 1st. Registration will continue from April 2nd through April 30th during the hours 9 AM to 1 PM Monday through Friday. **Registration will close on April 30th at 1:00 PM. It will reopen May 26th, a summer schedule will be available at the school and on our website. Please check these for summer registration times and dates.

We will hold Kindergarten Orientation on April 27th at 6:00 PM in our school cafeteria. We will have registration open that afternoon before the orientation from 4 PM to 6 PM.

**Teacher requests will be accepted for entering Kindergartners through second graders for the 2009-2010 school year. Any parent wishing to make a REQUEST must come to the school during open registration hours to compete the request form (request forms may not leave CES campus, no faxes, no mail in forms will be accepted). The LAST day we will accept teacher requests is April 30th 1:00 PM. Requests will not be honored if the student's registration is not complete by April 30th(all required forms must be submitted to Diane Harper, Registrar, by this date).

We feel that we have an excellent faculty. We are happy to be able to give you the opportunity to make a teacher request. Sometimes, we are not able to meet requests due to a number of circumstances. However, we will do our best to accommodate your request if possible. Thank you!

Our first gotcha party was held Friday, September 12th! We always have a dance party at the beginning of the year and it always proves to be the childrens favorite gotcha party all year long. The students must earn five gotcha slips to get to come to the party. All of the kindergarten students and teachers had a great time at our first party!
