CES Read Across America Week...

-Monday: I Am Not Going to Get Up Day: Wear pajamas to school

-Tuesday:Fox In Socks Day: Wear CES Dr. Seuss shirt and silly or mismatched socks
-Wednesday: Wacky Wednesday: Wear wacky clothes
-Thursday: Green Eggs and Ham Day: Wear something green
-Friday: Dr Seuss' Birthday Celebration:Look for details from your child's teacher for this day. Each classroom will choose a book and dress up according to the book.

***Book Fair ALL WEEK!!!

-Family Reading Night: Thursday March 1st:
     -Pizza and coke on sale at 5:30
     -Birthday cake for Dr. Seuss at 5:45
     -Reading fun begins at 6:00
-Door Prizes will be given!

Giftwrap Fundraiser

Giftwrap Fundraiser will be ready for pick up on November 17th at 12:00.  Gail will stay until 6:30 that evening if anyone wants to pick it up after school hours.  On Friday morning it will be moved the your child's teachers classroom for pick up.  Thanks for Participating in our school fundraiser!

Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week is coming up at CES.  It will be held October 24-28th.  A detailed schedule will come out later this week.  It will be sent home in your child's bookbag.  Please check that out and help them participate!  We have PTA tomorrow night, October 18th.  The Purple Pod will be performing.  Hope to see you there!  Thursday is our Student Council Installation at 10:00 AM and Friday we have a Fire Safety Program for our first graders.  Busy couple of weeks ahead for CES!  Join us parents if you can!

Parent Report Day, September 6th

I will conduct two seminars on September 6th to better explain the "No Child Left Behind" Law and our Adequate Yearly Progress status.  I will go over test results and explain our plan to improve our children's scores on the ARMT when they are able to take the test at Airport Road Intermediate School in 3rd grade.  Two sessions so that everyone who would like can attend.  Join us at 2:00 or 6:00 on the 6th!

Cookie Dough Fundraiser starts on SEPTEMBER 7th!!  We will use this money to operate our school and replace worn out computers and other necessary technology!

First PTA Meeting - September 13th!  Please join our PTA!  Pizza sales start at 5:30.  Yellow pods perform at 6:00 PM!!

Shaved Ice

The PE Department will sell Shaved Ice August 26, September 9, September 23, October 6 and October 25.  It is $1.50 and will be sold during PE.  All profits from this sale will lead to the PE department being able to buy more PE equipment.  Thanks for supporting the PE Department.
