Adequate Yearly Progress

Our schools must meet standards annually based on the No Child Left Behind Act. These goals are called Adequate Yearly Progress. If you meet these goals annually then you are NOT in the category of a school that needs improvement. If you do not meet the goals you are considered a needs improvement school. The scores from the SAT 10 and the Alabama Reading and Math Test are what the state department uses to determine Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP). I am excited to announce that our information was just released from the State Department of Education and we are not in school improvement. The third and fourth grade students at Robinson Springs Elementary School met 21 out of 21 goals. Our students (k-2) do not actually take the test, but we are considered a feeder school. Since our students "feed" into Robinson Springs our Adequate Yearly Progress is determined by their scores. We are so proud of the hard work of the teachers and students from K-4 at CES and RSS.

OUR SCHOOL MET ALL OUR ANNUAL GOALS - WE MET ADEQUATE YEARLY PROGRESS!!
